B – Building Knowledge (Main Lesson Body)
Time: 25–30 minutes

Learners’ Activities (Expanded):

  • Teacher introduces basic football rules in simple words:
    • No pushing or rough play.
    • Take turns and share the ball.
    • Pass the ball to teammates, not only keeping it.
    • Respect the referee/teacher and other players.
  • Teacher demonstrates football techniques step by step:
    • Kicking the ball with the inside of the foot for better control.
    • Passing the ball to a partner with accuracy.
    • Stopping the ball gently using the foot.
  • Learners practice in pairs, kicking and passing the ball back and forth.
  • Teacher organizes learners into small groups for a mini football game where they apply rules and teamwork.
  • Learners practice moving, passing, and kicking while observing safety and fair play.

Assessment Checks:

  • Teacher observes learners during practice and the mini-game:
    • Are they passing the ball correctly?
    • Are they kicking safely without hurting others?
    • Are they taking turns and showing teamwork?
  • Ask learners simple questions:
    • “What is one rule we follow in football?”
    • “Why should we pass to teammates?”
    • “What happens if we push others during play?”

Notes (Expanded & Detailed):

  • Emphasize team cooperation: learners should share the ball and not try to play alone.
  • Reinforce fair play and respect: learners must avoid fighting over the ball and should clap or cheer for others.
  • Highlight safety rules: kick the ball gently, look around before moving, and avoid pushing.
  • Connect to real life:
    • Following rules in football is like following classroom rules.
    • Passing the ball is like sharing toys or books with friends.
    • Respect in games builds friendship and teamwork.
  • Provide encouragement: praise learners who show teamwork, patience, and kindness.
  • End with a short reflection: learners share one thing they enjoyed in the football activity and one rule they will always remember.
