Lead learners in stretching exercises and light jogging

B – Building Knowledge (Main Lesson Body)
Time: 25–30 minutes

Teacher’s Activities:

  • Define physical fitness as the ability of the body to carry out daily activities with strength, flexibility, and endurance.
  • Explain why physical fitness is important: it keeps the body healthy, helps to prevent sickness, makes us stronger, gives us more energy, and improves our ability to learn and concentrate.
  • Demonstrate simple exercises that improve physical fitness such as stretching arms and legs, jogging on the spot, bending, and deep breathing.

Learners’ Activities (Expanded):

  • Participate in stretching, jogging, and bending exercises while following the teacher’s lead.
  • Share examples of activities that help keep them fit, such as playing football, skipping rope, running, dancing, or climbing stairs.
  • Repeat the definition of physical fitness in simple words after the teacher.
