Lesson Development – ABC Model

A – Anticipation (Warm-up / Starter)
Time: 5–10 minutes
Teacher sings a song about heaven. Teacher asks, “Where do you live? Who lives in heaven?” and listens to responses.

B – Building Knowledge (Main Lesson Body)

Time: 25–30 minutes

Teacher’s Explanation & Activities:
The teacher explains that:

  • Heaven is God’s home. It is a beautiful place full of joy, peace, and angels praising God. There is no sickness, pain, or sadness in heaven. People who love and obey God will go there.
  • Earth is the place where we live now. God made the earth for people, animals, and plants to live on. On earth, we build houses, go to school, eat food, and live with our families.
  • Hell is a bad place of punishment. It is full of fire and suffering. Those who disobey God and refuse to follow His ways go there.

Moral Lesson: Obeying God leads to heaven, while disobeying God leads to punishment.

The teacher shows charts and pictures of:

  • Heaven: clouds, angels, light, happiness
  • Earth: people, houses, trees, schools
  • Hell: fire, darkness, sadness

The teacher explains that God loves us and wants us to obey Him so we can live with Him in heaven forever.

Practical Activity:

  • Learners watch the teacher dramatize obedience (a child listening to parents and being rewarded) versus disobedience (a child refusing to listen and being punished).
  • Learners then take turns role-playing obedience (helping at home, praying, being kind) and disobedience (lying, refusing to do work, fighting).
  • The class claps for learners who show good obedience behaviors.

Learners’ Activities (Expanded):

  • Learners draw simple pictures of:
    • Heaven (clouds, angels, light)
    • Earth (people, houses, trees)
    • Hell (fire, darkness)
  • Learners role-play: one child acts as obedient while another acts as disobedient, showing the different outcomes.
  • Learners answer questions aloud about heaven, earth, and hell.
  • Learners repeat after the teacher:
    • “Heaven is God’s home.”
    • “Earth is where we live now.”
    • “Hell is a place of punishment.”

Assessment Checks:
The teacher checks learners’ understanding by asking:

  1. Where is God’s home?
  2. Who lives on earth?
  3. What happens if we disobey God?
  4. Show me your drawing of heaven, earth, and hell.

Notes (Expanded & Detailed):

  • Heaven is a beautiful place where God lives with angels. It is full of joy, peace, and love. People who obey God will go to heaven.
  • Earth is our temporary home where we live with our families, go to school, eat, work, and grow. God made earth for us to take care of.
  • Hell is a place of punishment for those who disobey God. It is full of fire, pain, and sadness.
  • God wants us to choose obedience so that we can live forever in heaven with Him.

Assignment (For Learners):

  1. Draw and label heaven, earth, and hell in your exercise book.
  2. Ask your parents to tell you one way you can obey God at home or in school. Write it down or draw it.
  3. Memorize and repeat:
“Obedience leads to heaven. Disobedience leads to punishment.”

C – Consolidation (Conclusion & Assessment)
Time: 5–10 minutes
Summary: Heaven is God’s home, earth is our home, and hell is a bad place. Obedience leads to heaven while disobedience leads to punishment.

Evaluation Method (Expanded):
Exit slip/quiz: Students will say or write one fact about heaven, earth, or hell. Teacher collects and gives feedback.

Assignment (Expanded):
Draw two things you think will be in heaven.

Follow-up Activity:
Sing a song about heaven with your family and tell them what happens if we obey God.

Differentiation / Inclusive Strategies
Visual learners will benefit from drawing activities, auditory learners from songs. Struggling learners will be supported with simple oral responses.
