Lesson Development – ABC Model
A – Anticipation (Warm-up / Starter)
Time: 5–10 minutes
Teacher asks: “What happens when someone goes away for a long time and then comes back? How do you feel?”

B – Building Knowledge (Main Lesson Body)

Time: 25–30 minutes

Teacher’s Explanation & Activities:
The teacher narrates the story of Jesus’ resurrection in simple, age-appropriate language:

  • On the third day after Jesus died, He rose from the dead.
  • Angels told the women at the tomb that Jesus was alive.
  • The disciples saw Him alive and were filled with joy and amazement.

The teacher explains that resurrection means new life and victory over sin. It gives Christians hope that we too will live with Jesus forever.

The teacher connects this story to Easter celebrations, explaining that Easter is when Christians remember Jesus’ love, His sacrifice, and His victory over death.

Practical Activity:

  • Learners dramatize the resurrection story, taking turns to be Jesus, angels, and the women at the tomb.
  • Learners repeat key words after the teacher: hope, new life, victory.
  • Learners sing an Easter song celebrating Jesus’ resurrection and love.

Learners’ Activities (Expanded):

  • Learners act out the resurrection scene with props or gestures, showing excitement and joy.
  • Learners repeat key words in chorus: hope, new life, victory.
  • Learners discuss why Jesus’ resurrection gives Christians hope.
  • Learners sing and move to a short Easter song to reinforce understanding and engagement.

Assessment Checks:
The teacher checks learners’ understanding by asking:

  1. What happened on the third day after Jesus died?
  2. What does resurrection mean?
  3. Why do Christians celebrate Easter?
  4. Who told the women that Jesus had risen?
  5. How does the resurrection give us hope?

The teacher observes learners’ dramatization and participation to ensure comprehension.

Notes (Expanded & Detailed):

  • Jesus rose from the dead on the third day.
  • His resurrection brings hope, new life, and victory over sin.
  • Christians celebrate Easter to remember Jesus’ love, sacrifice, and triumph over death.

  • Learners are encouraged to live in hope and follow Jesus’ teachings in daily life.

Assignment (For Learners):

  1. Draw a picture of the resurrection scene, showing Jesus, angels, and the empty tomb.
  2. Write or tell one thing you learned about resurrection this week.
  3. Practice saying aloud the key words: hope, new life, victory.
