Teacher asks learners to sing a short song or say a short prayer they know.

B – Building Knowledge (Main Lesson Body)

Time: 25–30 minutes

Teacher’s Explanation & Activities:
The teacher explains that praising God can be done through:

  • Singing songs of praise individually or in a group.
  • Praying silently or aloud.
  • Giving thanks for blessings received.
  • Demonstrates group praise, showing learners how to sing together, raise hands, or clap in worship.
  • Demonstrates individual prayer, showing gestures like bowing the head, folding hands, or speaking quietly to God.
  • Discusses why praising God is important: it shows love, respect, gratitude, and strengthens our connection with God.
  • Practical activity: Learners practice singing a simple praise song, reciting short prayers, and demonstrating gestures of praise in pairs or small groups.

Learners’ Activities (Expanded):

  • Participate in singing praise songs with the teacher and classmates.
  • Recite short prayers individually and collectively.
  • Practice gestures of praise, such as folding hands, raising hands, or bowing the head.
  • Discuss how praising God makes them feel happy, peaceful, and thankful.
  • Take turns leading group praise or prayer, practicing leadership and confidence.
  • Repeat key points after the teacher:
    • “I can praise God with songs and prayers.”
    • “Praising God shows love and thankfulness.”

Assessment Checks:
The teacher checks learners’ understanding by asking:

  1. How do songs help us praise God?
  2. How do prayers help us praise God?
  3. Can we praise God alone and with others? Explain.
  4. How does praising God make you feel?
  5. Demonstrate one way to show praise through gesture or song.

The teacher observes learners’ participation in singing, reciting prayers, and gestures to ensure comprehension.
