Instructional Materials
Bible, picture charts of nature (sun, moon, animals, people, plants), song chart with memory verse

Lesson Development – ABC Model

A – Anticipation (Warm-up / Starter)
Time: 5–10 minutes
Teacher sings a chorus such as “Who made the sun, moon, and stars?” and asks students questions like “Who do you think made the world?” Students give answers. Teacher then introduces the lesson by saying, “Today we are learning about the Creator.”

B – Building Knowledge (Main Lesson Body)

Time: 25–30 minutes

Teacher’s Explanation & Activities:
The teacher begins by telling the class that the Creator is God. God made everything we see in the world. He created the sky, the sun, the moon, the stars, the rivers, the mountains, the animals, the plants, and even us human beings. The teacher tells a short, simple story from Genesis 1, showing how God created the heavens and the earth “in the beginning.” The teacher explains that God made light, separated day and night, and made the world beautiful for people and animals to live in.

The teacher uses picture charts showing different creations (like the sun, moon, stars, birds, trees, and children) to help learners understand. The teacher emphasizes that God is the one who made all things—not man. For example, man can build houses, cars, and chairs, but only God made the sun, trees, and people.

Practical Activity:

  • Students are asked to look around the classroom and outside. They point to things they can see which God created, such as trees, grass, clouds, birds, or their classmates.
  • The teacher invites a few students to come forward and say, “God made this ____ (tree, sky, sun, or me).”
  • The teacher leads the class in singing a short, joyful song of praise like:
“God made the sun, God made the moon, God made the stars, and God made me!”

Learners’ Activities (Expanded):

  • Students mention aloud the things God created that they can see, e.g., “God made the trees,” “God made the birds,” “God made people.”
  • They repeat after the teacher several times: “God is the Creator of all things.”
  • They join in singing a short praise song about God as Creator.
  • They listen carefully to the story of creation told from the Bible (Genesis 1).
  • They practice drawing a simple picture (on their slate, workbook, or paper) of something God created (e.g., the sun, a flower, or a bird).

Assessment Checks:
The teacher checks learners’ understanding by asking:

  1. Who is the Creator?
  2. Mention three things that God created.
  3. What did we learn from Genesis 1?
  4. Recite this memory verse: “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1)

The teacher observes learners’ drawings and listens to their answers to ensure they understand.

Notes (Expanded & Detailed):

  • God is the Creator. This means He is the one who made everything.
  • In the beginning, before there was anything, God made the heavens and the earth.
  • All living things (plants, animals, people) and all non-living things (sun, moon, stars, water, land) were made by God.
  • Without God, nothing would exist. We must thank and praise Him for His wonderful creation.

Assignment (For Learners):

  1. At home, look around and write down or draw five things that God created.
  2. Practice saying the memory verse (Genesis 1:1) at least five times and be ready to recite it in the next class.
  3. Ask your parents to help you list one living thing and one non-living thing that God created.

C – Consolidation (Conclusion & Assessment)
Time: 5–10 minutes
Summary: The Creator is God. God made everything we can see around us including the sun, moon, animals, plants, and people. We should always remember that we belong to God because He created us.

Evaluation Method (Expanded):
Exit slip/quiz: Students will each write or say one thing God created. Teacher will collect slips and provide oral feedback.

Assignment (Expanded):
Draw one thing God created (e.g., a tree, an animal, or yourself).

Follow-up Activity:
Sing a short praise song about God as Creator at home and recite Genesis 1:1 with your family.

Differentiation / Inclusive Strategies
Teacher will allow pupils with limited writing skills to answer orally and draw instead of writing. Songs and visual aids will be used for auditory and visual learners.
