Lesson Development – ABC Model
A – Anticipation (Warm-up / Starter)
Time: 5–10 minutes
Teacher asks: “How do you feel when someone shares with you? How do you feel when someone shouts at you?”

B – Building Knowledge (Main Lesson Body)
Time: 25–30 minutes

Friendly Manners:

  • Greeting people politely with “Hello,” “Good morning,” or “Good afternoon.”
  • Sharing toys, food, or learning materials.
  • Saying “please” when asking for something and “thank you” when receiving.
  • Helping others when they need assistance.
  • Listening carefully and showing respect to others’ opinions.

Unfriendly Manners:

  • Fighting or hitting others.
  • Shouting or speaking rudely.
  • Refusing to share or take turns.
  • Using unkind words or teasing classmates.

Bullying:

  • Bullying is when someone repeatedly hurts, teases, or scares others.
  • It can happen at home, school, or anywhere in the community.

Reporting Bullying:

  • Telling a teacher, parent, or trusted adult about unkind behavior.
  • Reporting is not “telling tales”; it is asking for help to stay safe.
  • Learners should know that trusted adults can help stop bullying.

Practical Activity:

  1. Teacher demonstrates friendly behaviors like sharing food, helping a classmate, or greeting someone politely.
  2. Learners role-play friendly manners in pairs or small groups.
  3. Teacher guides a role-play where one learner acts as a bully, and others practice reporting safely to a teacher or adult.
  4. Class discusses outcomes of friendly vs. unfriendly behavior.
