  • Had you eaten this morning before you left home?
  • Will you have completed your homework before night?

Think-Pair-Share:

  • Think: Write one sentence for each: something you have done, had done, and will have done.
  • Pair: Discuss the structure of the verbs used.
  • Share: Volunteers read sentences aloud; teacher highlights the tense.

 

B – Building Knowledge (Core Content)

  1. Present Perfect Tense:
  • Form: has/have + past participle
  • Use: Action that occurred at an unspecified time before now.
    • Example: I have eaten rice.
  1. Past Perfect Tense:
  • Form: had + past participle
  • Use: Action completed before another in the past.
    • Example: She had finished her work before I arrived.
  1. Future Perfect Tense:
  • Form: will have + past participle
  • Use: Action that will be completed before a certain time in the future.
    • Example: They will have left by 6 PM.
