    • Exchange of culture, Islam, learning centers (Timbuktu and Djenné)
    • Diplomatic ties and tribute systems
  4. Importance of Songhai in African History:
    • Contribution to trade, education, and Islamic scholarship
    • Influence on political systems in West Africa
