  • Laundry detergent, clean and dirty clothes for demonstration

  • Brooms, dustpans, waste bins
  • Classroom cleaning checklist

Anticipation (Warm-Up) – 5 minutes:

Ask:

  • How often do you wash your school uniform?
  • What happens when your underwear is not changed daily?

Activity:

  • Group Brainstorm: “Things in my environment that must stay clean.”

 

Building Knowledge (Main Lesson) – 25 minutes

Clothing Hygiene:

  • Wash clothes regularly (uniform, P.E. wear, socks, underwear)
  • Dry in sun to kill germs
  • Change underwear daily
  • Do not share personal clothing

Underwear Hygiene:

  • Choose breathable fabrics
  • Change after exercise or sweating
  • Wash with soap and water
  • Helps prevent rashes, infections, and odor

Environmental Hygiene:

  • Keeping surroundings clean: school, home, toilets
  • Dispose of trash properly in bins
  • Avoid urinating or defecating in open spaces
  • Sweep floors and cut overgrown grass
  • Prevents disease spread like malaria, cholera, typhoid

  • Clean environment prevents germs from spreading to the body
  • Reduces absences from illness
  • Boosts concentration and learning
