  1. Narrative Writing Focus:
    • Definition: A form of writing that tells a story or recounts personal experience.
    • Must have clear sequence of events and proper tense use.
  2. Review of Verb Forms and Tenses:
    • Incorporate: Simple Past, Past Progressive, Present Perfect, and Past Perfect.
    • Examples:
      • I walked to the store. (Simple Past)
      • I was walking when the rain started. (Past Progressive)
      • I have visited the museum. (Present Perfect)
      • I had left before she arrived. (Past Perfect)
  1. Narrative Techniques:
    • Use of first-person pronouns.
    • Logical sequencing using time indicators (then, after, suddenly, before).
  2. Subject-Verb Agreement:
    • Match singular subjects with singular verbs; plural with plural.
    • Examples:
      • She runs fast.
      • They walks to school. ✗ (should be They walk)

  1. Correct the tense errors in a given paragraph.
  2. Identify all verbs and their tenses in a short story passage.
  3. Write a short narrative (10–15 sentences) about a personal event using at least 4 different verb tenses.
