  2. Present major colonial powers and their possessions:
    • Britain: India, Nigeria, Egypt
    • France: Algeria, Senegal, Vietnam
    • Belgium: Congo
    • Germany: Namibia, Cameroon
    • Netherlands: Indonesia
  3. Discuss internal and external factors of decolonization:
    • Internal: nationalist movements, uprisings, education and awareness, labor strikes.
    • External: world wars, UN pressure, economic strain on colonial powers.
  4. Highlight social and economic impact of colonization:
    • Urbanization, infrastructure (railways, ports), introduction of Western education.
    • Negative effects: cultural disruption, social inequality, economic dependency.
