Lesson Outline (ABC Model)

  1. P – Probe (5–10 min)

Purpose: Activate prior knowledge and spark curiosity.

  • Begin with probing questions:
    • “How do you find peace in times of crisis or stress?”
    • “Can faith calm the storms in life?”
  • Read aloud the opening lines:

“In the depths of the tempest's roar,
Where waves crash upon the shore,
There lies a peace, steadfast and true,
A refuge in the storm, where grace shines through.”

  • Ask students to predict the poem’s message about peace amidst trials.
  • Teacher Role: Facilitate discussion, note key ideas.

  1. E – Explore (15–20 min)
