Lesson Development – ABC Model

A – Anticipation (Warm-up / Starter)

Activity:

    • Discuss drainage patterns and significance for settlements and agriculture.
    • Highlight major lakes and their uses.
  2. Climate:
    • Describe Liberia’s tropical climate (high temperatures, high humidity, wet and dry seasons).
    • Discuss rainfall patterns (bimodal in some regions).
    • Explain factors affecting climate: latitude, relief, proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, winds, vegetation.
  3. Vegetation:
    • Identify natural vegetation types: tropical rainforests, mangrove swamps, coastal savannah.
    • Discuss factors affecting vegetation: climate, soil type, human activities, relief.
