Teacher’s Name:
Subject: Physical Education
Grade Level: Grade 2
Date: Week 23
Lesson Duration: 45 minutes
Week & Period: Week 23, Period 4
Topic: Integration and Practice
Sub-topic: Hygiene, Games, Stunts, and Tumbling

Learning Objectives
By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
Combine hygiene discussions with practical activities including classroom games, locomotor and manipulative games, stunts, and tumbling. Demonstrate proper safety, teamwork, and body control in integrated activities. Reflect on hygiene, fitness, and coordination skills. Prepare for upcoming assessment by practicing all learned skills.

Previous Knowledge
Students already know hygiene practices, classroom and locomotor games, manipulative skills, stunts, and tumbling techniques.

Instructional Materials
Balls, mats, ropes, cones, hygiene charts, and open play space.

Lesson Development – ABC Model

A – Anticipation (Warm-up / Starter)
Time: 5–10 minutes
The teacher leads jogging, stretching, and light tumbling. Learners share what hygiene and safety habits they practiced during previous lessons.

B – Building Knowledge (Main Lesson Body)
Time: 25–30 minutes

Explanation:

  • The teacher briefly reviews personal hygiene: handwashing, brushing teeth, and keeping the body clean
  • Learners are organized into stations, each focusing on different physical activities:
    • Station 1: Classroom games (Knots)
    • Station 2: Locomotor and manipulative games (Fragile Rock, Borden Ball)
    • Station 3: Stunts and tumbling (Bear Dance, log roll, forward roll)
  • Each station emphasizes safety, teamwork, coordination, and hygiene
  • Teacher circulates to provide feedback, demonstrate corrections, and encourage participation

Practical Activity:

  • Learners rotate through stations, practicing all previously learned skills
  • At each station, learners focus on:
    • Hygiene: clean hands, proper equipment handling
    • Safety: careful movements and posture
    • Teamwork: helping peers and following rules
    • Coordination: applying balance, locomotor, manipulative, and tumbling skills

Learners’ Activities (Expanded):

  • Perform hygiene routines such as handwashing before starting activities
  • Practice Knots, Fragile Rock, Borden Ball, Bear Dance, and rolling techniques in rotation
  • Observe and encourage peers, providing feedback
  • Discuss orally: “Which skill was easiest?” “Which was hardest?” “How does hygiene help during games?”

Assessment Checks:

  • Teacher observes:
    • Participation and engagement at all stations
    • Correct execution of skills and safe practice
    • Cooperation, teamwork, and application of hygiene
  • Oral questions to check understanding:
    • “Which skill was easiest?”
    • “How does hygiene help during games?”
    • “Which station helped you improve your balance or coordination?”

Notes (Expanded & Detailed):

  • Integration allows learners to apply knowledge of hygiene and physical activities together
  • Practicing at stations reinforces teamwork, coordination, safety, and hygiene
  • Rotating through multiple stations ensures all learners experience each skill and understand its purpose
  • Reflection during activities helps learners connect cleanliness, safety, and confidence with physical performance
  • This preparation ensures readiness for the assessment in Week 24

C – Consolidation (Conclusion & Assessment)
Time: 5–10 minutes
Summary: Teacher asks learners to demonstrate one hygiene practice and one physical skill from any station. Learners share what they learned about safety and teamwork.

Evaluation Method (Expanded):
Exit slip/quiz: 1. Mention one hygiene habit. 2. Name a game or stunt you practiced. 3. Why is teamwork important? Teacher collects slips and provides oral feedback.

Assignment (Expanded):
Practice a rotation of two activities at home (e.g., stretching and a simple game) and reflect on hygiene and safety while doing them.

Follow-up Activity:
Preparation for assessment next week, using skills and hygiene awareness learned from Weeks 19–23.

Differentiation / Inclusive Strategies
Learners with physical challenges rotate through adapted stations or perform modified exercises. Peer support and teacher guidance ensure inclusivity and safety.
