Lesson Development – ABC Model

A – Anticipation (Warm-up / Starter)
Time: 5–10 minutes
Teacher asks learners to name their favorite animals and where they live.

B – Building Knowledge (Main Lesson Body)

Time: 25–30 minutes

Teacher’s Explanation & Activities:
The teacher explains that God created many kinds of animals, each with its own characteristics and habitat.

Types of Animals:

  • Land animals: lions, elephants, cows – move and live on land.
  • Air animals: birds, butterflies – fly in the sky.
  • Water animals: fish, crocodiles – live and move in water.
  • Domestic animals: dogs, cats – live with humans and help us.
  • Wild animals: tigers, monkeys – live in forests and wild areas.

Discussion:

  • Talk about animal behaviors: running, flying, swimming.
  • Talk about habitats: forest, farm, rivers, seas.
  • Explain the purpose of animals: some give food (cows, chickens), some help in work (horses, dogs), some provide beauty or company (birds, butterflies).

Practical Activity:

  • Learners classify animals using picture cards into land, air, water, domestic, and wild.
  • Learners draw their favorite animal and indicate its habitat.
  • Teacher asks learners to share their drawings and describe the animal’s home and behavior.

  • Identify and classify animals in groups or pairs.
  • Draw and label one animal from each category.
  • Repeat after the teacher key phrases: “God created animals for different purposes.”
  • Discuss with a partner why a certain animal lives in its specific habitat.
