Lesson Development – ABC Model
A – Anticipation (Warm-up / Starter)
Time: 5–10 minutes
Ask learners: “Can you share a time when someone helped you or taught you something important?” Connect this to Jesus’ purpose of teaching and helping people.

B – Building Knowledge (Main Lesson Body)
Time: 25–30 minutes

Content/Explanation:

  • Begin by explaining that Jesus came to teach, heal, and save people. Use simple language to help learners understand His role as a guide and helper.
  • Describe examples of His miracles in simple, relatable terms:
    • Healing the sick (e.g., making a blind man see)
    • Feeding the hungry (e.g., feeding the 5,000 with loaves and fish)
    • Calming the storm (demonstrate with hand gestures or a visual aid)
  • Discuss His teachings: kindness, forgiveness, helping others, and loving one another.
  • Use storytelling to narrate one or two miracles, engaging learners with expressions, questions, and gestures.
  • Conduct a class discussion with the question: “How can we follow Jesus’ example today?” Encourage learners to give examples from their daily life.
  • Organize a role-play activity: learners act out acts of kindness such as helping a sick friend, sharing food, or comforting someone, reflecting Jesus’ teachings.
  • Provide a drawing activity: learners draw a scene of Jesus performing a miracle, labeling key actions or people involved.

Learners’ Activities (Expanded):

  • Listen attentively to the miracle stories and respond to questions.
  • Participate actively in role-play, practicing acts of kindness and helping others.
  • Share ideas during the class discussion about following Jesus’ example.
  • Draw a miracle performed by Jesus, showing understanding of the story.

Assessment Checks:

  • Ask learners to name one miracle of Jesus and explain it briefly.
  • Observe participation in role-play and discussion, noting engagement and understanding.
  • Check learners’ drawings for comprehension, ensuring they represent a miracle and the message of kindness or care.
  • Ask reflective questions: “Which act of kindness can you do this week like Jesus?”

Notes (Expanded & Detailed):

  • Emphasize that Jesus’ miracles show love, kindness, and care for others.
  • Reinforce that miracles were meant to teach us how to live and treat others.
  • Encourage learners to practice acts of kindness daily, such as sharing, helping, forgiving, and comforting friends and family.
  • Suggest learners share their drawings and stories at home, explaining the miracle and its lesson.
  • Highlight that understanding Jesus’ works is important for learning how to live a life guided by love and service.
