Lesson Development – ABC Model
A – Anticipation (Warm-up / Starter)
Time: 5–10 minutes
Ask learners: “When do you like to pray? What can you give to God?” Lead discussion on meditation and offerings.

B – Building Knowledge (Main Lesson Body)
Time: 25–30 minutes

Content/Explanation:

  • Begin by defining meditation times in simple terms: moments during the day when we can quietly think about God, reflect, and pray. Examples include morning, bedtime, and before meals. Explain why these times are special for connecting with God.
  • Explain types of offerings:
    • Money – giving coins or notes to support the church or someone in need.
    • Food – sharing meals or snacks with others.
    • Gifts – giving toys, books, or useful items.
    • Helping others – offering time or assistance, e.g., helping a classmate or a family member.
  • Demonstrate small acts of offering, e.g., giving a pencil to a friend or sharing a snack, emphasizing that even small offerings count.
  • Lead a discussion: ask learners to identify times during the day they can meditate and share ideas for small offerings they can make.
  • Conduct role-play: learners practice giving different types of offerings to classmates or imaginary recipients.
  • Organize a group activity: plan a simple class offering project, e.g., sharing snacks, collecting items to help someone in need, or assisting a classmate.

Learners’ Activities (Expanded):

  • Listen attentively to the teacher’s explanation of meditation times and types of offerings.
  • Identify suitable times during their day to meditate and share their choices.
  • Participate in role-play, practicing giving offerings sincerely and politely.
  • Work in groups to plan a class offering project, discussing what to give and how to help others.

Assessment Checks:

  • Ask learners to identify at least two suitable times for meditation and explain why.
  • Observe learners during role-play to ensure they understand the concept of offering and can perform it sincerely.
  • Listen to group planning discussions to check understanding of giving and helping others.

Notes (Expanded & Detailed):

  • Emphasize that sincere giving matters more than the amount or size of the offering.
  • Encourage learners to practice daily meditation and small acts of offering at home and school.
  • Highlight that offerings are not only material but also include time, help, and kindness.
  • Reinforce the idea that offerings and meditation help learners grow spiritually and reflect Jesus’ teachings.
  • Suggest learners keep a daily record or drawing of their meditation and offering acts to share with the class later.

C – Consolidation (Conclusion & Assessment)

Summary: Meditation and offering help us connect with God and show love sincerely.
