Lesson Development – ABC Model
A – Anticipation (Warm-up / Starter)
Time: 5–10 minutes
Ask learners what the Liberian Flag represents and why respecting it is important.

B – Building Knowledge (Main Lesson Body)
Time: 25–30 minutes

Content focus:

  • Liberian Flag:
    • Meaning of the colors and symbols:
      • Red stripes: Courage
      • White stripes: Moral excellence
      • Blue square with white star: Liberty and freedom
    • Symbolizes national pride and identity.
  • Rules and laws:
    • In the home: tidy up, follow parents’ guidance, share, be polite.
    • In school: raise hands, follow classroom rules, respect teachers and peers.
    • In the community: obey traffic rules, respect public spaces, help maintain order.
  • Practical examples:
    • Role-play helping a friend follow a school rule.
    • Demonstrate proper behavior at a flag-raising ceremony or respecting national symbols.
