Lesson Development – ABC Model
A – Anticipation (Warm-up / Starter)
Time: 5–10 minutes
Activity: Quick game of “Qu’est-ce que c’est?” in pairs to recall vocabulary.
Learner’s Role:
Respond orally, recall vocabulary, and use sentences.
B – Building Knowledge (Main Lesson Body)
Time: 25–30 minutes
Teacher’s Role (Expanded & Detailed)
Use flashcards or real objects for visual reinforcement. Have the class repeat the vocabulary and sentences chorally to refresh pronunciation and memory.
Example Dialogue:
A: Qu’est-ce que c’est?
B: C’est un stylo.
A: Que fais-tu avec un stylo?
B: J’écris avec un stylo.
Explain the structure: one person asks “What is this?” and the other answers, then asks what you do with the object.
Encourage students to use:
Model sentences and provide corrective feedback as needed. Emphasize the correct use of articles (un/une), verbs, and fluency.
