  1. Define Conjugation
    • Begin by explaining: “Conjugation means changing the verb so it matches the person doing the action.”
    • Write the infinitive forms on the board:
      manger = to eat
      • boire = to drink
  2. Introduce Full Conjugation of Manger and Boire (Present Tense)
    Display a conjugation chart for both verbs:

MANGER (to eat)

  • Je mange – I eat
  • Tu manges – You eat
  • Il/Elle mange – He/She eats
  • Nous mangeons – We eat
  • Vous mangez – You (plural/formal) eat
  • Ils/Elles mangent – They eat

BOIRE (to drink)

  • Je bois – I drink
  • Tu bois – You drink
  • Il/Elle boit – He/She drinks
  • Nous buvons – We drink
  • Vous buvez – You (plural/formal) drink
  • Ils/Elles boivent – They drink
  1. Conduct Oral Repetition Drills
    • Say each form clearly and slowly.
