School Name:
Teacher’s Name:
Subject: Physical education
Grade Level: Grade 3
Date: Week 23
Lesson Duration: 45 minutes
Week & Period: Week 23, Period 4
Topic: Manipulative Games and Integration
Sub-topic: Throwing, catching, kicking, and integrated activities
Learning Objectives
By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
Demonstrate manipulative skills accurately
Apply previously learned exercises, stunts, and games in an integrated session
Reflect on personal growth in fitness, coordination, and teamwork

Previous Knowledge
Students already know:
Manipulative skills, stunts, tumbling, locomotor games

Instructional Materials
Balls, cones, mats, markers

Lesson Development – ABC Model
A – Anticipation (Warm-up / Starter)
Time: 5–10 minutes
Warm-up exercises: stretching, jogging, and light tossing/catching

B – Building Knowledge (Main Lesson Body)

Time: 25–30 minutes

Teacher Input (Expanded & Detailed):

  1. Introduction & Explanation:
  • Teacher revisits manipulative skills such as:
    • Throwing: Proper grip and arm motion.
    • Catching: Eyes on the object, hands positioned correctly.
    • Kicking: Correct placement of non-kicking foot and controlled swing of the kicking leg.
  • Explain the importance of integrating previous skills:
    • Combines strength, balance, coordination, and teamwork.
    • Reinforces motor skills learned in stunts, tumbling, balance exercises, and locomotor games.
  • Emphasize safety rules:
    • Watch for personal space and obstacles.
    • Move slowly between stations.
    • Communicate clearly with peers during activities.
  1. Demonstration of Integrated Circuit:
  • Teacher sets up stations:
    • Station 1: Throwing and catching objects.
    • Station 2: Kicking targets or objects.
    • Station 3: Balance exercises (one-leg stand, walking on a line).
    • Station 4: Stunts and tumbling (crab walk, bear crawl, log roll).
    • Station 5: Locomotor games (relay, obstacle course).
  • Teacher demonstrates correct technique for each station and explains rotation process.
  1. Practical Activity – Circuit Practice:
  • Learners rotate in small groups through each station.
  • Teacher supervises and provides immediate feedback on:
    • Accuracy and control in manipulative skills.
    • Safe execution of stunts, tumbling, and balance exercises.
    • Teamwork, communication, and cooperation during locomotor games.
  • Reflection prompts:
    • “Which station was easiest or hardest?”
    • “How did teamwork help you complete the activities?”
    • “Which skill do you feel you improved the most?”

Learners’ Activities (Expanded & Detailed):

  • Perform throwing, catching, and kicking with correct technique.
  • Rotate through integrated activity stations, practicing balance, stunts, tumbling, and locomotor skills.
  • Work in small teams, providing peer feedback and supporting each other.
  • Reflect individually or in groups on personal progress, coordination, and teamwork.

Assessment Checks (Expanded):

  • Observation: Teacher monitors:
    • Accuracy and control in manipulative skills.
    • Safe participation and correct technique in all stations.
    • Teamwork, communication, and cooperation.
  • Oral Questions:
    • “Which station challenged your coordination the most?”
    • “How did teamwork help during relay or obstacle stations?”
    • “Which skill improved the most today?”
  • Practical Assessment: Learners demonstrate skills correctly and participate safely and cooperatively in the integrated circuit.

Notes (Expanded & Detailed):

  • Immediate feedback is critical to correct errors and reinforce proper technique.
  • Emphasize coordination, safety, and cooperation to ensure effective learning.
  • Integrated circuits reinforce previously learned skills and promote holistic physical development.
  • Reflection encourages learners to recognize strengths, identify areas for improvement, and set personal goals.
  • Teachers should foster an environment of support, encouragement, and positive peer interaction.

C – Consolidation (Conclusion & Assessment)
Time: 5–10 minutes
Summary: Reflect on skills learned, personal growth, and teamwork

Evaluation Method (Expanded)
Exit slip/quiz: Name one manipulative skill and describe how integration improves fitness
Teacher will collect slips and provide oral feedback

Assignment (Expanded):
Practice a manipulative skill or integrated activity at home and share experience

Follow-up Activity:
Organize a mini integrated fitness circuit for the class

Differentiation / Inclusive Strategies
Simplify tasks or provide adapted equipment for learners needing support
Encourage peer mentoring
