B – Building Knowledge (Main Lesson Body)
Time: 25–30 minutes

Content/Explanation:

  • Begin by explaining the types of worship:
    • Individual worship: praying or meditating alone, reading holy texts, personal reflection.
    • Communal worship: participating with others in churches, mosques, or temples.
  • Describe common places of worship and their purposes:
    • Churches: for Christian congregational prayers and celebrations.
    • Mosques: for Muslim congregational prayers and Friday prayers.
    • Temples: for various religious rituals and community gatherings.
  • Give examples of worship activities:
    • Singing, praying, meditation, offering gifts or tithes, personal acts of service, and thanksgiving.
  • Use storytelling to illustrate worship practices in different religions, emphasizing respect, devotion, and moral lessons.
  • Organize a drawing activity: learners illustrate “My place of worship”, labeling activities that take place there.

Learners’ Activities (Expanded):

  • Participate in class discussion, sharing examples of worship activities they know or have seen.
  • Draw “My place of worship”, including activities like singing, praying, or helping others.

Assessment Checks:

  • Ask learners to name one place of worship and one form of worship to check understanding.
  • Observe participation during discussion for comprehension of different worship types.
  • Review drawings to ensure learners accurately represent worship practices.
  • Pose reflective questions: “Why is it important to worship individually and with others?”
