Nutrition:

  • Meaning: Nutrition is the process of taking in food and using it for growth, energy, and maintaining health
  • Nutrients: Substances in food that provide energy and help the body grow and function properly

Food Groups and Functions:

  • Carbohydrates: Provide energy for daily activities and physical exercise
  • Proteins: Build and repair body tissues, support muscle development
