Teacher asks learners to share what happens in a family where children respect their parents and in one where they do not.

Teacher Begins With a Question:
“Have you ever seen people fighting or shouting at each other? How does it feel?”
(Allow learners to respond: “It’s sad,” “It’s scary,” “It’s noisy,” etc.)

“God doesn’t want us to fight or quarrel. He wants us to live in peace — with our families, our classmates, and everyone in the community. That’s why He gave us commandments — His special rules — to help us live peacefully.”
Definition Recap:
Commandments are God’s rules that guide how we live with Him and with other people.
They help people know what is right and wrong, and bring peace when they are followed.
