B – Building Knowledge (Main Lesson Body)

Time: 25–30 minutes

  1. Introduction & Explanation
  • Teacher explains that both the Bible and the Quran teach that life continues after death.
  • Both religions believe in:
    • Resurrection (coming back to life after death)
    • Judgment (God judging people’s deeds)
    • Reward or punishment based on one’s actions.

  1. Similarities
  • Both teach that there is resurrection and judgment.
  • Both promise eternal life for the good and punishment for the evil.

  1. Differences

Christianity (Bible)

Islam (Quran)

Emphasizes Jesus as Redeemer who grants eternal life.

Emphasizes obedience to Allah as the way to Paradise.

  1. Examples
  • Christianity: John 14:1–3 — Jesus promises to prepare a place for believers.
  • Islam: Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:3–4 — Allah can resurrect the dead.

  1. Practical Activity
  • Teacher draws a Venn diagram on the board with three sections:
    • Left circle: Bible teachings
    • Right circle: Quran teachings
    • Middle section: Similarities
  • Learners help list points under each section based on the lesson.

  1. Learners’ Activities (Expanded)
  • Read aloud selected verses from both the Bible and Quran.
  • Fill in the Venn diagram with teacher’s guidance.
  • Discuss how these beliefs encourage people to be kind, honest, and faithful.

  1. Assessment Checks

Teacher asks:

  • What is one similarity between Bible and Quran teachings about life after death?
  • What is one difference?

  1. Notes (Expanded & Detailed)
  • Both Christianity and Islam teach that death is not the end of existence.
  • Both believe in resurrection, judgment, and life after death.
  • Christians believe eternal life is given through Jesus Christ as Redeemer.
  • Muslims believe Paradise is earned through obedience and faithfulness to Allah.
  • These beliefs encourage followers to live moral, honest, and caring lives.
