Lesson Development – ABC Model
A – Anticipation (Warm-up / Starter)
Time: 5–10 minutes
Teacher shows a picture of a baby and asks: “Who gave life to this baby?”
Short discussion on what keeps people alive (food, water, air, sleep) and ask: “Who provides these?”
B – Building Knowledge (Main Lesson Body)
Time: 25–30 minutes
- Definition and Explanation
- God as the Source of Life: God is the ultimate origin and giver of all life. Everything that lives—plants, animals, and humans—exists because God created it and sustains it every moment.
- Creation of Life: According to the Bible, God formed the first man, Adam, from the dust and breathed life into him (Genesis 2:7). Similarly, the Quran teaches that Allah created man from clay and breathed His spirit into him (Surah Sad 38:71–72).
- This means life is a sacred gift from God, not something humans can create by themselves.
- Biblical and Quranic References
|
Scripture
|
Explanation
|
|
Genesis 2:7
|
“The Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being.” This shows God’s direct involvement in giving life.
|
|
Surah Sad 38:71–72
|
“When your Lord said to the angels, ‘I am going to create a human being from clay... and breathe into him of My spirit’.” This highlights Allah’s creation of human life and the special nature of the human spirit.

- Examples of God Giving and Sustaining Life
- Plants: Seeds grow into plants because God created the processes of growth and reproduction.
- Animals: Animals reproduce and thrive because of God’s care and sustenance.
- Humans: Babies are born and grow due to God’s continued provision of food, air, and care.
- Nature’s support: Rain waters plants, sunshine gives energy, and food nourishes all living creatures—all gifts from God that sustain life.
- Demonstration
- Breathing Exercise:
Teacher asks learners to breathe deeply and slowly. Then explains how every breath they take is a gift from God, just as God breathed life into Adam.
- Observation Walk:
Take learners outside to observe nature—trees, flowers, birds, insects, animals, and people. Discuss how each living thing shows God’s gift of life.
- Use guiding questions such as:
- How do trees and plants show life?
- What do animals need to live and grow?
- How do we know people are alive?
- Learners’ Activities (Expanded)
- Examples Sharing:
Learners mention ways God sustains their lives, such as providing food, shelter, safety, and family care.
- Bible Reading and Chanting:
Learners read Genesis 2:7 aloud and repeat the key phrase together: “God is the giver of life.”
- Art Activity:
Learners draw pictures showing examples of God’s creation that demonstrate life, such as trees, birds, fish, animals, or humans.
- Group Discussion:
Learners share their drawings and explain why their chosen subject shows God’s gift of life.
- Assessment Checks
- Who gave life to Adam?
- What does the Bible say about how God gave life to the first man?
- According to the Quran, from what was man created?
- How does God sustain life today?
- Can humans create life by themselves? Why or why not?
- Written Reflection:
Write a sentence about something in nature that shows God’s gift of life.
- Notes (Expanded & Detailed)
- God is the source and sustainer of all life.
- Both the Bible and Quran teach that God created humans uniquely by breathing life into them, making life sacred and special.
- God sustains life continually by providing what living beings need—air, water, food, and care.
- Understanding God as the giver of life helps us appreciate and respect all living things.
- It teaches gratitude for the daily blessings of life and the environment around us.
C – Consolidation (Conclusion & Assessment)
Time: 5–10 minutes
Summary: God is the only source of life. He created Adam, gave him breath, and continues to sustain all living things.
Evaluation Method (Expanded):
Exit slip/quiz: Students write one example from the Bible or Quran that shows God is the giver of life. Teacher will collect slips and provide oral feedback.
Assignment (Expanded): Draw and label three things God created that show He is the source of life.
Follow-up Activity: At home, students ask their parents to share how God has kept their family safe and alive.
Differentiation / Inclusive Strategies
Slower learners can retell stories while stronger learners read directly from the Bible or Quran. Visual aids and group discussions help all learners participate.
