Lesson Development – ABC Model

A – Anticipation (Warm-up / Starter)
Time: 5–10 minutes
Teacher asks: “If you break a rule at home, how can you make peace with your parents again?” Students respond with answers like saying sorry or obeying them. Teacher connects this to how humans can make peace with God through ways of receiving Salvation.

B – Building Knowledge (Main Lesson Body)

Time: 25–30 minutes
Topic: Ways of Receiving Salvation

  1. Teacher Explanation (Step-by-Step)

Definition Recap:
Salvation means being saved from sin and its punishment. It restores our friendship with God and gives eternal life.

Teacher explains the four key ways of receiving Salvation:

  1. Faith – Believing in God and trusting His promises.
    • Example: The thief on the cross believed Jesus was the Savior (Luke 23:39–43).
  2. Prayer – Talking to God, especially to ask for forgiveness.
    • Example: Zacchaeus prayed and welcomed Jesus joyfully (Luke 19:1–10).
  3. Obedience – Following God's commandments in daily life.
    • Example: Keeping God’s rules, like being kind, honest, and respectful.
  4. Repentance – Feeling sorry for sins and turning away from them.
    • Quran Example: Allah says He forgives those who truly repent (Surah Az-Zumar 39:53).

Teacher emphasizes that Salvation is not a one-time event—it is a daily lifestyle of trusting God, doing what is right, and turning away from wrong.

  1. Teacher Demonstration / Dramatization

Short Role-Play:

  • A child who has done wrong (e.g., lied) prays to God and asks for forgiveness.
  • Another child plays the part of a teacher or friend encouraging repentance and change.

Message: God forgives those who come to Him with a sincere heart.

  1. Learners’ Activities (Expanded)
  1. Dramatization in small groups:
    • Learners create a short play where a person does something wrong but later prays, believes, and changes their behavior.
  2. Matching Activity:
    • Teacher provides cards with the four ways of receiving Salvation.
    • Learners match each card with either a Bible or Quran example (e.g., Faith → thief on the cross; Repentance → Surah 39:53).
  3. Class sharing:
    • Learners share one way they can receive or live in Salvation daily, such as:
      • Praying every morning
      • Obeying parents and teachers
      • Telling the truth
      • Helping others in need

  1. Assessment Checks (Oral Questions)
  • Mention two ways of receiving Salvation.
  • Give one Bible example of someone who received Salvation.
  • How does the Quran describe Allah’s mercy in Salvation?
  • What are some daily actions that show we are living in Salvation?
  1. Notes (Expanded & Detailed)
  • Salvation is a gift from God, but people must respond by:
    • Having faith in God
    • Praying regularly
    • Obeying His commandments
    • Repenting from sin
  • Biblical Examples:
    • Zacchaeus repented and welcomed Jesus into his life.
    • The thief on the cross believed in Jesus and was saved.
  • Quranic Teaching:
    • Allah is merciful and forgiving to those who sincerely repent and obey His guidance.
  • Application for Children:
    • Children can receive and live in Salvation by trusting God, praying, obeying parents and teachers, being honest, and turning away from wrongdoing.

C – Consolidation (Conclusion & Assessment)
Time: 5–10 minutes
Summary: Salvation can be received through faith, prayer, obedience, and repentance. Both the Bible and Quran show examples of people who received God’s mercy and forgiveness.

Evaluation Method (Expanded):
Exit slip/quiz: Teacher asks learners to write one way they can receive Salvation and one example from the Bible or Quran.

Assignment (Expanded):
Write four steps of receiving Salvation and give one example each from the Bible or Quran.

Follow-up Activity:
Learners share at home one way they will practice receiving Salvation during the week.

Differentiation / Inclusive Strategies
Teacher pairs struggling learners with stronger ones. Pictures and dramatization help visual learners. Advanced learners explain with scripture references.
