Lesson Development – ABC Model
A – Anticipation (Warm-up / Starter)
Time: 5–10 minutes
Teacher asks learners: “What rules do you follow at home or in school?” Learners share answers (e.g., sweeping, doing homework, obeying parents). Teacher connects these rules to God’s commandments as His rules for life.
B – Building Knowledge (Main Lesson Body)
Time: 25–30 minutes
Topic: The First Four Commandments – Our Relationship with God
C – Consolidation (Conclusion & Assessment)
Time: 5–10 minutes
Summary: Teacher and learners recap the meaning of commandments and list the first four. Learners explain how they can obey them in school and at home.
Evaluation Method (Expanded):
Exit slip/quiz: Write down one of the first four commandments and how you can keep it. Teacher will collect slips and provide oral feedback.
Assignment (Expanded):
Write the first four commandments from memory and give one example of how to obey each.
Follow-up Activity:
Learners practice reciting the first four commandments at home and discuss them with family.
Differentiation / Inclusive Strategies
Pair weaker learners with stronger ones for recitation and writing. Provide visual aids (charts, flashcards) for learners who struggle with reading. Encourage oral responses for learners with writing challenges.
