Lesson Development – ABC Model
A – Anticipation (Warm-up / Starter)
Time: 5–10 minutes
Teacher asks: “How do you show respect to your parents or teachers?” Learners respond, then teacher links their answers to commandments that teach respect for others.

B – Building Knowledge (Main Lesson Body)

Time: 25–30 minutes
Topic: The Last Six Commandments – Our Relationship with Others

  1. Introduction
  • Teacher explains the last six commandments from Exodus 20:12–21:
    5. Honour your father and mother.
    6. You shall not murder.
    7. You shall not commit adultery.
    8. You shall not steal.
    9. You shall not give false testimony.
    10. You shall not covet.

 

  1. Explanation in Simple Terms
  • Honour parents: Obey and care for them respectfully.
  • Do not murder: Respect the life of others.
  • Do not commit adultery: Be faithful and pure in relationships.
  • Do not steal: Respect others’ property and belongings.
  • Do not lie: Always speak the truth and avoid falsehood.
  • Do not covet: Be content and thankful for what you have, avoid envy.
