Teacher asks: “If you quarrel with your friend, how can you make peace again?” Students answer. Teacher explains that just as we make peace with friends, we also reconcile with God.

Learners’ Activities (Expanded): Learners listen, participate in discussion, draw/write reconciliation, role-play asking for forgiveness.

B – Building Knowledge (Main Lesson Body)

Time: 25–30 minutes
Topic: Reconciliation

  1. Definition & Explanation
  • Reconciliation means restoring friendship, peace, or harmony with someone.
  • Man needs reconciliation with God because sin separates us from God.

  1. Scripture Examples

Bible Examples:

  • Jesus died on the cross and rose again to bring forgiveness and restore the relationship between God and man (John 3:16, 2 Corinthians 5:18).
  • The Prodigal Son story shows God’s willingness to forgive and welcome back those who repent (Luke 15:11-32).

Quran Example:

  • Tawbah (repentance) teaches that Allah forgives those who sincerely repent and turn back to Him (Quran 39:53).

  1. Daily Life Ways to Practice Reconciliation
  • Saying sorry to God in prayer.
  • Repenting for wrong actions and seeking forgiveness.
  • Forgiving others when they hurt us.
  • Making peace with family, friends, and classmates.

  1. Practical Activity
  • Learners draw a picture or write a short paragraph illustrating reconciliation (e.g., shaking hands, praying together, forgiving someone).
  • Alternatively, learners can share a story or example where they reconciled with someone.

  1. Learners’ Activities (Expanded)
  • Participate in the drawing or writing activity.
  • Share examples from their own lives about making peace or forgiving.
  • Discuss why reconciliation with God and others is important.

  1. Assessment Checks (Teacher’s Questions)
  • What is reconciliation?
  • Why do we need reconciliation with God?
  • Give one example of reconciliation from the Bible or Quran.

  1. Notes (Expanded & Detailed)
  • Reconciliation restores peace and friendship between God and humans, as well as between people.
  • Jesus Christ made reconciliation possible by dying for our sins and rising again.
  • In Islam, sincere repentance (Tawbah) brings Allah’s forgiveness.
  • God is merciful and always ready to forgive those who seek Him.
  • Reconciliation helps us live in peace and love with God and others.

C – Consolidation (Conclusion & Assessment)
Time: 5–10 minutes
Summary: Reconciliation means restoring peace with God. We reconcile with God through Jesus Christ and by repenting. God forgives those who turn to Him.
Evaluation Method (Expanded):
Exit slip/quiz: Students write one way they can reconcile with God. Teacher reviews and gives oral feedback.
Assignment (Expanded): Learners write 5 sentences about how they can reconcile with God when they do wrong.
Follow-up Activity: At home, learners practice saying sorry when they offend someone.
Differentiation / Inclusive Strategies
Provide drawing tasks for learners who struggle with writing. Use storytelling for auditory learners. Group weaker learners with stronger ones for peer support.
