Time: 5–10 minutes
Teacher asks learners: “Who leads worship in your church or mosque?” Learners share responses. Teacher introduces pastors and imams as religious leaders.

  • Pastor:
    A pastor is a spiritual leader in Christianity who leads church services, teaches the Bible, prays for people, provides counseling, and helps Christians grow in faith.
  • Imam:
    An imam is a religious leader in Islam who leads the five daily prayers at the mosque, teaches the Qur’an, delivers sermons, and gives guidance on how to live according to Islamic teachings.
  • Religious Leader:
    A person chosen or trained to lead others in worship, teaching, and spiritual guidance within a religion.

Role of a Pastor

  • Leads church services and preaches the Word of God.
  • Teaches from the Holy Bible.
  • Conducts prayers, baptisms, Holy Communion, weddings, and funerals.

Role of an Imam
