- Introduce all 7 days:
- lundi, mardi, mercredi, jeudi, vendredi, samedi, dimanche.
- Teacher writes them on the board, underlines endings (–di, –che, –di).
- Pronunciation drill: repeat chorally, then individually.
- Teacher question: “Quel jour sommes-nous aujourd’hui ?”
- Pupils answer: “Nous sommes lundi / mardi …”

- Introduce 12 months: janvier, février, mars, avril, mai, juin, juillet, août, septembre, octobre, novembre, décembre.

- Telling the Date (Dire la date)
- Structure: Aujourd’hui, c’est le [date] [month].
- Example: Aujourd’hui, c’est le 3 septembre.
- Teacher asks pupils to write today’s date in French on the board.
