Lesson Development – ABC Model
A – Anticipation (Warm-up / Starter)

  • Reduce pain and promote recovery.
    • Discuss the importance of first aid in emergencies:
  • Provides immediate relief and reduces complications.
  • Helps manage injuries until medical help is available.
  • Encourages confidence and preparedness in communities and schools.
    • Explain basic principles of first aid:
  • Quick response: Acting immediately to reduce harm.
  • Safety: Ensuring both rescuer and victim are safe.
  • Seeking help: Calling for professional medical assistance when necessary.
    • Use Liberia-specific examples:
  • Road accidents in Monrovia or other cities.
  • Minor burns from cooking or electrical mishaps at home.
  • Injuries during sports or school activities.
