A – Anticipation (Warm-up / Starter)
Time: 5–7 minutes
Activity:
• Teacher asks: “Que faites-vous quand vous êtes malade ?”
• Pupils respond orally using previous health expressions: Je prends du sirop, Je dors, Je vais chez le médecin…
• Teacher introduces vocabulary for medicines and treatments.
Learners’ Role: Recall health-related vocabulary and participate orally.

Teacher Practice:
Uses flashcards or realia (empty syrup bottle, mock tablets, prescription paper).
Pronounces each word slowly → pupils repeat chorally and individually.
Writes sample sentences on the board and reads aloud:
Je dois avaler le comprimé après le repas.
Il faut respecter la dose du sirop.
Le médecin écrit une ordonnance.
La pharmacie vend des médicaments.
Learners’ Task:
Pupils form oral sentences using new words.
Teacher asks:
“Que fait-on avec un comprimé ?” (On avale le comprimé.)

Teacher Drill:
Teacher calls subject → pupils respond with conjugated verb.
“Je… (avaler)” → J’avale le comprimé.
“Ils… (dormir)” → Ils dorment huit heures.

Pupils write 3 sentences using each verb.
Examples:
Je mange trois repas par jour.
Nous avalons les comprimés avec de l’eau.
Elle suce le bonbon médicinal.
Vous dormez tôt le soir.

Il faut + infinitive = necessity/advice.

Pairs prepare dialogues (3–4 minutes).
A few pairs perform for the class.
Task: Pupils write 4–5 sentences on “Comment prendre des médicaments correctement.”
Requirements:
Include at least 2 verbs and 2 vocabulary words.
